Tuesday Afternoon . . .
Hubby started removing shingles from the south side of the roof today. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we’ll get the rest done this weekend.

When I came home, hubby and son were trying out hubby’s new Benelli shotgun.

Now son wants one like it too. Not too long ago, my hubby got real mad at son over something and chewed him out. Later son and I were talking and I told him not to think his Dad didn’t love him even if he got mad at him. Son said “I’d never think that, we have too good a time together when he takes me shooting”.

Hubby also got the small shed moved out to the shooting berm, now we can leave targets and stuff in the shed, and not have so far to carry it. I’m glad to have it out of the yard too.

Of course, while I was out taking pictures, the horses let me know it was feeding time. They sure do like their sweet feed!

Yesterday we put the pullets in with our layer flock.

This way the big boys (and girls) have a lot more room. They are a lot bigger than the pullets, and not too many weeks away from the freezer. They do look yummy!

Al had asked about how we were venting the new roof, so I took this picture showing the gap under the eaves between the old and new roof.

We’ll put up vented soffits like we have on the rest of the house, and a ridge vent along the top.
That’s life here on my homestead!
